Me Made May: Weeks 1 & 2

May is the month in which makers across the world pledge to wear their makes and sometimes make more! It was started by So Zoe as an effort to wear more me-makes and to figure out what isn’t getting worn. If you want more information, check out this post.

Since I don’t have that many me-makes yet, I didn’t pledge to wear a me-made item every day. Here’s my Me-Made May Pledge:

I endeavor to make 1 garment a week, finally clear out my UFO pile and wear all of my spring/summer me-made garments as much as possible for the duration of May 2016′

Makerspace: Sew Over It Vintage Shirtdress

Remember when I told you that this year’s blog would be filled with more than just book reviews? Well, here is the first of the sewing posts!

I’ve made my first shirt dress and I have to say, I’m pretty proud!

I used the Vintage Shirtdress Pattern from Sew Over It. I was really pleased with how easily it came together. The sewing process was by far the longest I’ve undertaken so far — somewhere around 8 hours total – but definitely worth it in the end!
