30 for 30: Day 7

I can’t believe that it has already been a week of 30 for 30–

Only three more to go!

Here’s what I wore today:

Works Cited:

4) Oatmeal Tshirt (J.Crew)

7) Tennis Shoes (Phase 8)

18) Blue Felt Skirt (J.Crew)

30 for 30 Day 6

Grocery Day! My list ?
– yogurt
– cream cheese
– jam

Healthy Yummy!

Later this afternoon some Kenyon-Exeter folks went to go see Never Let Me Go.

Based on the novel of the same name, the film had the added bonus of a Q & A with the producer and author after the showing!

I highly recommend the movie and soon I’ll let you know what I thought of the book.

(I’m starting it tonight!)

Here’s what I wore for my movie/grocery adventures:

30 for 30 Works Cited:

9) Morgan Jeans (Delias)

16) Blue T-shirt (J.Crew)

17) Grey Cardigan (Madison Lilly via Nordstrom)

3) Black Boots (H&M)

5 seconds of fame…

Here I am at Day 5 of 30 for 30 and I have gleaned no new insights into my wardrobe.

I have, however, found out how to make this decididly unflattering shirt look much better!

30 for 30: 0 Alexandra: 1

13: Brown Boots (Frye), 14: Breton Stripe Shirt (Zara), 15: Morgan Jeans (Delias)

Today I spent the day in the library which is probably why my outfit is so boring! I needed to be able

to sit still for a longtime and not be fidling with any extras so the accessories had to go.

More tomorrow!

4…repeat steps 1, 2, 3

Don’t you just love this song? I remember it playing everytime I went to the skate-rink

for couples skate–ah middle school memories!

Today was super-windy out to the point where I was scared of pulling a Mary Poppins, so you’ll have to settle

for bad pictures once again.

How do all of the fashion bloggers do it??

10. Mulberry Colored Shirt (Nordstrom), 11. Grey Skirt (J.Crew), 12. Black Flats (Banana Republic)

I actually did laundry today (even the sheets!) so expect a post soon showcasing all 30 for 30!

Love.

Third Time is the Charm?

Day 3 of Kendi’s 30 for 30 Challenge and I think I’m finally getting into the swing of this posting thing–or maybe not.

Today I’m showing off items 8, 9 (and my first repeat) 3.

Item 8: Checked Shirt (J.Crew), Item 9: Morgan Jeans (Delias), Item 3: Boots (H&M)

In other news, I used not one, but TWO, blogger tutorials to get ready this morning, pathetic?

Tutorial 1: Sydney’s belt tying tutorial (The Daybook)

This girl seriously rocks. Her blog has me obsessively checking to see what outfit

she puts together next. Go check it out!

Tutorial 2: Carrie’s beehive tutorial (Wish Wish Wish)

First off, how awesome does the beehive look? All thanks to Carrie. I’ve been admiring her hair

for absolute ages, til she was considerate to post a tutorial and what do you know?

It really is as easy to do as she said!

Oh and before I forget, I’m participate in Sydney’s Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Awkward

– Walking to class and my heels getting stuck in the path and then having to pull them out while people go around me

– Talking over someone else on a conference call but no one realizing I said anything

– Having the fire alarm go off at 11am and still being in my pajamas

Awesome

-Not having class until 3pm and catching up on my tv shows

– Taking good pictures for today’s blog

-Making mac and cheese from scratch–without a recipe!

All for now.

Love,

A

Only two things are infinite

Day 2 and I’m already slacking on the job! Here are some pictures of what I wore today, unfortunately I’m not in them. It’s going to take a little time before I’m comfortable enough in front of the camera to post “outfit photos” all the time–any tips for a newbie blogger?

30 for 30 items 4, 5, and 6.
Shirt (J.Crew), Sweater (Ruelala), Jeans (Gap)

And…item 7

Aren’t they adorable?! I got them for less than 10 pounds when Rebecca, Sam and I went to Bath.

The joys of having tiny feet!

Ta for now,

30 for 30–Day 1

You may have noticed that a strange new badge popped up on the side of my layout yesterday. Here’s why: I have decided to take part in Kendi’s 30 for 30 Challenge. The challenge is to choose 30 items of clothing to remix into 30 outfits over the next month. Accessories and coats don’t count but shoes and tanks do. There’s another catch as well–no buying things for the next 30 days either. Ideally, the challenge teaches people to re-work their wardrobe and realize that “I have nothing to wear” days don’t exist.

The challenge has happened several times before, maybe you’ve seen it on your favorite bloggers site! Here’s my lowly blog, listed on Kendi’s site (how cool!!)

Okay, so maybe you can’t see it in that little picture but go check the list of bloggers out here and you’ll see my blog. In poor remixer form I don’t have my full 30 items to show you today because I didn’t do laundry I ran out of time. I’ll try to post them before the week is out but don’t quote me on that. Here’s outfit number one:

1) grey turtleneck (J.Crew), 2) Floral print skirt (J.Crew), 3) Boots (H&M)

Bear with me as I figure out this posting pictures/outfits thing, surely by the end of this 30 for 30 I’ll have it down!

Ta,

A
